Celebrating the Career and Retirement of Bob Lio

After decades of dedication, loyalty and professionalism, Melbourne City Toyota proudly celebrates the retirement of long-serving team member, Bob Lio - a respected Fleet Manager and familiar face to so many colleagues and customers over the years.

Bob’s journey with Melbourne City Toyota began back in 1990, when Toyota purchased the Melford Motors site from Col Paige. After spending four years here, Bob ventured to Geelong Toyota and later joined City Ford, before returning “home” to Melbourne City Toyota in 2011, where he has proudly served ever since. Reflecting on his time, Bob shared:

“I've had two great stints at MCT and have been the Fleet Manager the entire time. I’ve met some wonderful people along the way and I like the Toyota ethos.”

Throughout his career, Bob’s dedication and excellence have been recognised through numerous awards, including most recently taking out Gold Dealer of the Year 2023 for Fleet Management - a fitting achievement to cap off his outstanding tenure.

As he steps into retirement, Bob looks forward to the next chapter, with a trip to Japan planned for April and more time to explore Australia.
